The salmon-colored pillbox set is made of braided straw + red velvet + gray pearl shell buckle. The purse opens by squeezing the top apart. An "Original By Sherman" made in St. Louis, Missouri in the 1950's or 60's. Gently used - a few minor issues - slight wear + mild discoloration around the opening of the purse, a couple of light spots and pricks on the velvet. Hat 7-8" from the outside, 6-7" from the inside. Hat is intended to perch on top of one's head. Purse 10x6.5". Unlabeled green set made of straw + rope velvet swirled into stiffener rings for shape; the hat is floppy. The purse opens with a brass jaw mechanism. The green has faded and discolored in places, mostly on the purse. The stitching is tight + intact but there are a few fraying areas.
